Using a combination of concentrated hydrochloric acid, suphuric acid and sulphuric dioxide gas in a reactor vessel for a specialty Selenium reduction process, it was decided ECTFE/FRP construction would give the best service life. With internal baffles, mounting points for heat exchangers, an agitator and dip tubes, the tank was a challenging engineering and production task. Innovative design and production methods were utilized to fabricate a high quality tank to withstand the severe corrosion environment.
