130' Diameter Domes on Greater Vancouver Regional District Biological Aeration Facility

When the Greater Vancouver Regional District decided to build 4 new digesters for their Sewage Treatment facility, Prolite Plastics Ltd. was there to introduce the new AGRU SUREGRIP High Density Polyethylene Concrete Lining Systems.

With assistance from AGRU Engineering, Prolite designed and installed one of the most complicated polyethylene concrete liners that were 80 ft. above ground and required tie-downs to accommodate the 6" expansion/contraction of the thin polyethylene liner while massive concrete pours were being done in the heat of the day.

Upon completion, Prolite Technicians welded the many miles of seams "Michelangelo Style" -- overhead, working from cranes. The roof linings were hydraulically tested on completion for leaks and all four passed the test.

Another new product group taken on successfully by Prolite's innovative Development and Engineering team.
